Happy Wednesday! This week is a really exciting one for Semper Secure, LLC. We recently purchased a two door Jeep Wrangler, equipped with a 3 inch lift, huge tires, LED lights all over and of course our logo! This is going to be an eye - catching tool to get our name out to more people about the great services we offer. We will also be parking it outside of all the events we will be working! My good friend, Jim and his son Connor, who can fix and install pretty much anything in front of them, installed the lights and new grille last night. THANK YOU JIM & CONNOR!!
On top of that, we are working an event that is very special to me, Barrington Centennial Night. I grew up and currently reside in Barrington, NJ. When I moved back to the area after the military, there was no other place I wanted to be. The feel of the town is so great and welcoming. People are just plain nice here. My wife and I recently purchased our first home together in Barrington and are raising our 3 and a half month old baby here. The council, mayor and police force has been both extremely receptive and supportive of Semper Secure and has often provided tips and advice for us to be more successful. I also can’t fail to mention, that Semper Secure, LLC is a proud member of the Barrington Business Association (BBA). There are so many great shops, people and organizations in Barrington and I am so happy to be a small part of it. Here is to another great 100 years! To get tickets to Barrington Centennial Night here is the link: http://barringtonboro.com/centennial-celebration-information-1917-2017-barrington-borough/ Check out the other great businesses and shops Barrington has to offer: http://www.bbaofnj.org/ Check back next week for pictures of our staff at Centennial Night as well as our new Jeep Wrangler! Until next time, Shane Camardo Chief Operating Officer, Semper Secure LLC First and foremost, welcome to the Semper Secure, LLC web page! I am so excited to have an easy accessible site that I will be able to update with upcoming events. It has been such a whirlwind since the company was started just a few short months ago and the feedback has been great. We went from just a simple idea, to a full-fledged LLC that has been constantly growing.
We just finished up our first Winter Sports season at Paul VI High School and I am thrilled to say it was a great success. We saved Paul VI over $300 per event and over $2000 during their first annual winter sports boys basketball tournament. All the while, keeping the players, coaches and fans safe. I think I speak for my whole staff when I say we enjoyed every minute of it. We learned so much and got to meet excellent student athletes. Changing gears a little bit, March Madness is officially upon us! I thought the tournament is as good of a reason as any to discuss the importance of sportsmanship. Growing up, as a huge Duke fan (try not to hold that against me), JJ Redick was one of my favorite players. However, college sports fans either loved him or absolutely hated him. I remember reading articles about opposing fans cursing at him and even bringing up his family members during negative chants. Years later, he wrote an article and did a podcast discussing this. He mentioned developing an on court persona to play into the crowd so they didn’t think he was backing down from them. I also recall fierce battles between Duke and the University of North Carolina where the fans would get extremely heated cheering for their teams. North Carolina had a player, Tyler Hansbrough, who would also be ridiculed by opposing fans similiar to how JJ did. North Carolina fans loved Tyler’s tenacity and drive, opposing fans couldn’t stand it. The reason I am bringing these two players up is because recently, Dove Men’s Care started a campaign featuring them to promote sportsmanship during even the most tense games. No players family deserves the fear of being ridiculed going into an opposing arena. Likewise, no player should feel the need to develop a persona just to cope with the things that are being screamed at him or her on the foul line. Tyler and JJ have publicly attempted to “bring out the best in fans.” They have made public comments and tweets to one another, wishing each others’ alma mater luck when they enter the tournament. They have a started the “Real Strength Manifesto” to encourage fans to be passionate about making sports bring them together, not tear them apart. Their goal is to affirm the belief that caring for something greater than oneself actually makes a person stronger. Check the campaign out for yourself! The link is below. As we approach the spring and summer, I am excited about our new opportunities with our new clients and watching the company grow. Please feel free to email me any time if we can be of service to you, your school or your company. Until next time! Shane Camardo COO Semper Secure, LLC http://www.dove.com/us/en/men-care/ncaa.html |
